dc.description.abstractThe purpose of the study was to establish the role of teaching resources on pupils‘ socialization in pre-primary schools in Rubaga Division, Kampala District, Uganda. The study adopted a qualitative research design which facilitated the collection of data. The participants were 18. These included 12 teachers from the selected preprimary schools in Rubaga Division, Kampala, District, and 6 administrators. Data was collected using focus group discussion, interview and documentary review. The study used Purposive sampling and the data Collected was guided by a thematic analysis approach. The collected data from interviews, focused group Discussion and document analysis was transcribed, organized and coded. Results from the study indicated a significant role of teaching resources on pupils‘ socialization in preprimary schools. The study recommended that to ensure that socialization of children is achieved in preprimary schools, the government should intensify the monitoring and supervision of pre-primary schools to ensure the employment of qualified teachers and provide pupils with a strong educational foundation Key words: Teaching resources, Pupils‘ socialization.en_US
